THE VENUE

In the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, in the village resort of Châtel, at an elevation of 1,200 meters. The Linga neighborhood is quiet and sunny. A 15-minute walk from the village, or a 5-minute drive. Since the hamlet is built on a mountainside, access to the chalets is only possible via stairs from the parking lot (not accessible to people with reduced mobility).

Whether you’re getting around the village of Châtel using the free shuttle service or traveling throughout the Abondance Valley, a bus and shuttle service is available to you… The free shuttles run throughout the village and to all points of interest. There’s a stop right at the foot of the chalets. Shuttles run every 20 minutes on average, though this may vary depending on the season. You can download the Pysaé app to track the shuttles in real time. Buses run throughout the valley and to and from the Thonon-les-Bains train station.

600 meters from the first slopes and the Linga gondola. The resort has three ski areas; this gondola serves the middle one. From there, you can reach the Super-Chatel area and Switzerland, or the Pré la Joux and Avoriaz areas. The slopes range in elevation from 1,200 to 2,200 meters, and the resort enjoys reliable snow conditions.

The Châtel resort has three ski areas. The ESF meeting points vary depending on the children’s age, the time of year, and their skill level. The “Piou-piou” club in the village of Les Marmottons is 800 meters away. There are three other private ski schools in Châtel: meeting points are at Pré la Joux, a 10-minute drive or shuttle ride away (large parking lot).

No, there are no fences or gates. It's practically impossible to get through because of the snow in winter. Please keep this in mind if you're bringing pets.

There are several restaurants and pizzerias within a 500-meter radius. There are also several ski equipment rental shops.

STAY

Yes, many chairlifts and gondolas are open to pedestrians. So you can meet up on the slopes for lunch, for example.

Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m., and check-out is by 10:00 a.m. These times are for reference only: the chalets are often ready earlier, but this depends on the schedule. If you’d like to arrive early, please feel free to contact us the day before or the morning of your arrival so we can confirm your options.

Outside of the winter season, it’s usually possible to arrive in the morning and enjoy the chalet until noon on the day of departure.

Except in exceptional circumstances, we cannot guarantee check-in before 4:00 p.m. If you expect to arrive late or depart very early in the morning, please let us know in advance.

Reservations are generally made on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday, mainly during the winter months and between July 14 and August 15. Outside of these periods, we are much more flexible regarding length of stay and check-in/check-out dates.

In the winter, we can also accommodate last-minute short stays, depending on availability. During the off-season—in the spring and fall—we offer more flexible options, including weekend packages.

– Yes, we have a few rules to ensure a comfortable and safe stay. You’ll find them in the chalet’s welcome booklet.

– Out of consideration for the neighbors, please refrain from making noise between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

– For holidays, family gatherings, weddings, etc., it’s best to rent the entire hamlet.

– The herbs in the garden are free for the taking—please help yourself. But even if you love mojitos, please remember to leave some mint for the other guests 😉

We will welcome you personally. If you have any problems, we both live in the village, and you can contact us at any time during your stay; we’re available to answer any questions you may have.

AMENITIES
AND SERVICES

Pets are welcome at no extra charge, but please let us know in advance. Of course, you’ll be asked to pick up after your pet around the chalet and do your best not to leave any pet hair behind—even if you choose the cleaning option!

The parking lot, outdoor access areas, main garden, and ski storage room are shared. Your chalet and its terrace are for your exclusive use.

No, this is optional, not required. You can clean the place yourself, or choose the cleaning service for €350 for the large chalet or €150 for the small ones (short-stay rates available). Please note that this does not exempt you from leaving the premises in a decent condition. As for sheets and towels, you can bring your own; a list of bed sizes is available so you can bring the correct sizes. A sheet and towel rental kit is also available for €20 per person. All these options are payable on-site; sheets must be reserved at least one week in advance.

Yes, heating is included in the price. The average temperature is 20°. * The large chalet has thermostat-controlled underfloor heating, and there is also a large open fireplace in the living room. Firewood is provided free of charge. * The small chalets are equipped with electric heaters. The bathrooms are equipped with towel warmers.

Yes, the hamlet has a private shared parking lot with no assigned spaces. Seven spaces are reserved for the 20-person chalet, and two spaces are reserved for the 5- and 7-person chalets. If you’d like to bring more cars, there is a public underground parking garage in the village.

We have several travel cribs and high chairs available. Please be sure to request them when you make your reservation.

Access to the hot tub is reserved for guests staying in the 20-person chalet; it is located on the chalet’s private terrace. There is a water park in the village featuring a beautiful outdoor pool and a wellness area.

Yes 🙂 We offer several packages depending on the time of year and your preferences:

  • Off-season (spring & fall): weekend and short-stay packages, perfect for a getaway in nature.
  • Last-minute winter deals: We sometimes offer shorter stays depending on availability.
  • Exclusive use of the venue: for groups (seminars, birthdays, family reunions, etc.), with customized packages.
  • Themed getaways: held periodically throughout the year (wellness, yoga, mountain adventures, etc.).

We try to remain flexible and adapt as much as possible to your projects, so it’s best to contact us directly: we can offer you a customized package rather than a fixed quote.

 
 

PAYMENT
AND TERMS

You can make a reservation on our website using secure online payment. You can also reserve by phone or email: we’ll send you a payment link along with a confirmation email. We can also send you a rental agreement by email, which you’ll need to return to us signed, along with a 30% deposit via bank transfer. We’re also flexible and can accept reservations by mail and by check. Your reservation will not be confirmed until we receive a deposit. The balance is due one month before arrival. You can make your reservation on other platforms such as Booking or Airbnb, but please note that you’ll always find the best rate and personalized advice when booking directly with us. The tourist tax, which we remit to the city hall, is payable on site: €1.70 per adult per night.

All of our terms and conditions are available on our website or in our contracts. When you book online, you can purchase the cancellation option. You can cancel your stay free of charge up to 90 days before your arrival.

You can pay by bank transfer or check (for down payments only). On site, we accept credit cards and cash.

Yes, it is €1,000 for the 20-person chalet and €500 for the smaller chalets. It is charged via credit card (please ensure you have sufficient credit available).

No, the rates are “per chalet”; whether there are 2 or 20 of you, the price will be the same. However, you must not exceed the maximum capacity of a chalet.
